ABN Mixer ABN Mixers are a Success
Watch for our next mixer coming in November.
The last ABN Mixer was at Aroma Restaurant on August 18th. It was well attended and was a very successful fundraiser to benefit the Alameda Education Foundation.
First ABN Mixer
ABN held its first quarterly mixer at the Churchward Pub in Alameda on May 6th. It was a resounding success and we were able to raise over five hundred dollars for the Alameda Welfare Council, a local non-profit agency.

Special Topics at Monthly Meetings Encourage Open Dialogue about Key Business Issues
Do you sometimes wish you had an advisory board for your small business? People you could go to and ask for help about a perplexing business problem you have, or just get a fresh perspective about a business issue of concern to you?
Our monthly meeting is for members to share ideas about key business issues. Recent discussions have covered:
- How to provide excellent service to our customers.
- Techniques for using e-mail as a business productivity tool.
- Organizing your workspace to increase efficiency.
- Hiring the right people and keeping them happy and productive.
Members speak one at a time, sharing "tips and techniques" that have worked for them. Discussions provide opportunities for our members to learn from one another and improve their businesses.
"Keep in mind that the BBN mission is not only to generate business leads, it's also to improve our service to our customers," comment BBN members. "By freely exchanging ideas with our business peers, we gain insights that help our customers as well as ourselves."
If BBN members want a particular topic to be discussed, they ask the group if they want to schedule it for an upcoming monthly meeting. The Business Builders Network is a comfortable and non-threatening place for people to help one another grow professionally and become more prosperous. |
